Amputation of a sac
The sac of a scrotal hernia has been opened and the posterior wall of the sac is infiltrated with an anesthetic solution and then transected.
Dissection of a scrotal sac after transection
The proximal sac is dissected, ligated and invaginated into the deep inguinal ring. A plug is inserted into the ring. The distal sac is not dissected from the spermatic cord.
